Dover District Council have reviewed the number of Councillors in each Town & Parish Council in the district, and have now proposed that the number of Councillors in Temple Ewell is reduced from 12 to 9 based upon the number of Registered Electors.

The Parish Council raised no objection to this reduction when the review was started by DDC as over the last 8 years there has only been a period of 2 months where the number of Councillors was 10, and for the last couple of years the number has been 7 or 8, so the impact of a reduction to a maximum of 9 will have very little impact.

The will be some Councils where the number of Councillors increases, however these are in locations where there has been a significant increase in population due to housing develoment.

Anybody wishing to comment on the proposed changes may do so via the details on the attached poster.
